INSTITUTE OF AFRICA & DIASPORA STUDIES

The Institute of African and Diaspora Studies (IADS) is a part of the prestigious University of Lagos. Its primary aim is to bring scholars and persons interested in African and diaspora studies together. 

Our goal was therefore to help the IADS grow their community, to provide visibility for all the works being done by the scholars that comprise the institute.

 This involved knowing the works to amplify, and what platforms to amplify them. Within 6 months, with targeted storytelling, and an understanding of their very niche audiences, we could maintain a reach of over 50,000 scholars monthly across social media channels, especially Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, and drove their most successful campaign yet - the Rahman Bello Award - an award worth $1000 for PhDs in African and diaspora studies, which broke their record for the number of applications ever received.
